McMenamins has teamed up with Columbus Elementary School for a UFO Festival coloring contest! All Columbus Elementary students are welcome to participate. McMenamins will make a donation to the school toward the purchase of new books.

Star Wars Galaxy Talk

Finding answers about aliens in a galaxy far, far away can reveal important information about how we humans relate to each other right here on Earth. For example, why doesn’t anger always lead a Jedi to the dark side? In Luke Skywalker’s final battle against Darth Vader, in Return of the Jedi, why does Luke shut off his lightsaber? What makes him choose to take a stand for good, rather than fighting evil with violence?

Join us to find out how the Star Wars aliens relate to each other—and to you. Using this information, we can then find answers to out-of-this-world big questions: what is the good life and how should good people treat one another here on Earth? Join us to learn about the evolution of Star Wars aliens through the years and discover what they can teach us about ethics in our galaxy.
